From: My hometown is Alviso, Ca. I have infinite love for Morgan Hill, Gilroy,
Santa Clara , San Jose, and Sunnyvale. I'm from a neighborhood where
people bust the windows out of cars just to take the radios out, I'm from a
neighborhood of people who have kids at young ages, I'm from a
neighborhood where people cuss all over the place "F" words, "B" words, "A"
words, and all the alphabet. You wanna know where I'm really from? I'll tell
you where I'm from buddy....I'M FROM UNDER MY HAT!
Why: Because when you share a love for something like this with people all
over the world, you come together, no matter what you look like, no matter
who you are or what you're going through, no matter where you're from or
where you are, there will always be someone there who loves skateboarding
just as much as you and there will be someone there to support you,
appreciate your hard work, and clap for you after you've spent so much time
and energy trying to land a trick. Even if you don't know each other at all, even
if you don't talk to each other at all when you're skateboarding together at the
same place I guarantee if you are trying a trick everyone notices and everyone
wants you to land it and everyone feels the same inside and once you do
land it there's an explosion of positivity, people clap, yell, and scream all of
that. Skate therapy is real, if you feel like shit go to the skatepark and nail
those tricks you've been trying for dayys or land a trick you've never done at
least once, you will feel better about everything after that session.
Years Skateboarding: Oof this is a tough one because my memory sucks. I
used to ride around town on a bright blue and highlighter yellow board with
the plastic grind bars on the bottom it was one of those condom shaped
boards from the flea market. I shredded that for daaaaays then Speedy
showed me a Progression Skate video on VHS and everything changed after
that.
Interesting: I used to slang merch for a band from Gilroy/San Jose called
HEAVY HEAVY LOW LOW. I toured around the entire country with the homies
hella times. I love these dudes to death for giving me the chance to see
things for myself and to skate awesome spots all across America.
Whatevers: Shout out to all the homies from everywhere around the country,
all my ALVISO BROTHERS, all the homies from this great Bay Area, The
down south homies, The midwest homies, All my East Coast homies,
ISAAC.SHANE coming out of Baltimore, MD, Authentikindskate, The Fritter
Brothers, The 38 army, GHOATST homies, Everyone who ever let me crash at
their place, African-American Zombie Lawyer, Rusty, Thuggy, Chris LG,
Mikent, 3JA8, and THE LOW LOW FAMILIA much love right there. Never forget
to always do what you do and be yourself.
